applicationTo waive interest for a client , keep the charges that appear in the loan account. Complete any fields that do not default, such as a date, that may be required.
To add charges to a loan account
When editing a loan account, navigate to the Charges section. See Loan Account Fields Charges.
To add miscellaneous (one-time) charges to a loan account
When viewing a loan account, click +Add Loan Charge on the action bar.
- Select Charge type from the list.
- Complete the fields required for the charge.
- Click Submit.
or group loan account, selectthe client or group (needs link to how to find a client or group). Click the General tab.
- Click the loan account for which interest is to be waived.
- On the loan page, click the Summary tab to review loan information and confirm interest amount to be waived.
- Click More, Waive Interest on the action bar.
- Accept the date defaultfor Interest waived on or pick a date in the past from the calendar pop-up.
- Accept the Transaction amount default or type a different amount.
- Optionally, type a descriptive Note.
- Click Submit.
- Review the loan account Summary once more to confirm the interest amount has been waived.
The loan account interest amount will be adjusted by the amount waived.
