The Mifos Initiative is looking forward to participating in has been selected as a Mentoring Organization for the 2016 Google Summer of Code for our third year as the independent Mifos Initiative and our fifth overall. We had grown from four to seven interns and after a year away from the program in 2015 look to continue that growth with students working on a wide variety of projects across our AngularJS community app, Android mobile apps, and other tools and modules. Ideas related to the Fineract codebase (formerly the Mifos X platform) can be found on the Ideas Page for Apache Foundation as a Mentoring Organization. We will be working with seven interns for the program. We had a record number of proposals for the Mifos Initiative so are looking to offer additional internships outside of Summer of Code to the ten students we wanted to select for GSOC but weren't able to.
