The Mifos Initiative is looking forward to participating in Google Summer of Code for our third year as the independent Mifos Initiative and our fifth overall. We had grown from four to seven interns and after a year away from the program in 2015 look to continue that growth with students working on a wide variety of projects across our AngularJS community app, Android mobile apps, and other tools and modules. Ideas related to the Fineract codebase (formerly the Mifos X platform) can be found on the Ideas Page for Apache Foundation as a Mentoring Organization.

2016 Mentors
We have a talented and passionate group of mentors from across our global community who are eager to help guide the next generation of HFOSS contributors. These mentors come from various backgrounds - partners deploying Mifos, financial institutions using Mifos, volunteers, and even former GSOC students but they all share a common goal of ending poverty one line of code at a time!
