- Introduce yourself to the community - Mailing Listson our developer mailing list and IRC channel
- Fill out the the Contributor Agreement
- Set up your machine for development
- Choose an issue from `this list <http://mifosforge.jira.com/secure/IssueNavigator.jspa?mode=hide&requestId=10170>`_from this list
- Write a Selenium based test that demonstrates the bug (see Writing Acceptance Tests) and fails because of it.
- Fix the bug and make your test pass
- Submit your patch with with the test and the fix
