The Mifos Initiative will be applying to be a mentoring Google Summer of Code organization once again. Our aim is to participate in GSOC for the 8th year. Org applications are due by February 6 with the list of accepted mentoring orgs published on February 26. So return then to see if Mifos has been selected!

Interim Period: | Mentoring organizations review and rank student proposals; where necessary, mentoring organizations may request further proposal detail from the student applicant. Slot allocations published to mentoring organizations | |
May 6: 1600 UTC | Accepted student proposals announced on the Google Summer of Code site. | |
May 6 - May 27 | Students get to know mentors, read documentation, get up to speed to begin working on their projects. | |
27 May: | Students begin coding for their Google Summer of Code projects | |
24 June - 28 June: 1800 UTC | Phase 1 Evaluation deadline | |
| 22 July - 26 July: 1800 UTC | Phase 2 Evaluation deadline | |
19 August - 26 August: 1800 UTC | Final week: Students submit their final work product and their final mentor evaluation | |
26 August - 2 Sept: 1800 UTC | Mentors submit final student evaluations. | |
