Glossary

NGO or Cooperative	The organization or entity which will be onboarding groups and members on to the MifosX platform and will be hosting the solution and offering it as a service to their Groups/Members.

Dashboard	A screen on the web application that will be show the consolidated metrics for a given Group or Member. Typical metrics will include total savings (Group and Individual savings separately)

Objective

Dashboards are needed to view the progress of Self-Funded Groups within an NGO or Cooperative at the following levels:

Organization-Overview Dashboard
Group-Level Dashboard
- Group Overview Dashboard
- Group Progress Dashboard
Member-Overview Dashboard

Assumptions

One installation of MifosX will cater to only one NGO or Cooperative. If there are multiple NGOs or Cooperatives, then each will need a separate instance of MifosX and dashboards will not consolidate the information across NGOs or Cooperatives

Out of Scope

One instance of MifosX capable of being supporting more than one NGO or Co-operative. The reason this is being kept out of scope is that there is no immediate need for this and without a real-life scenario where this is followed - it is hard to design for it. The following aspects need to be considered:
- Are Groups linked to a specific Cooperative?
- How to manage more than one Cooperative working in the same geography (like a Province) and how to deal with the navigation
- Showing dashboards at both Cooperative-Level and Office-Level?
Branch-Level/Office-Level Dashboards - this can be taken up as an enhancement later if there is a need to show regional or office-level information / progress to users

Screen Navigation

In existing MifosX application, the following screens and navigation will be added:

Institution:

→ Overview - will show the Organization Dashboard (new screen)

→ Groups - will list the group and clicking on any group will show the following 3 tabs:

→ Overview - will show the Group Overview Dashboard (new screen)

→ Progress - will show the Group Progress Dashboard (new screen)

→ Details - will show existing screen for Group

→ Clicking on any member within the Group Overview or Group Progress dashboards or on any member in the Details tab - will show the Member Overview Dashboard (new screen)
