Deepened my practical understanding of Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) and Compose Multiplatform (CMP), especially for migrating large, Android-heavy features.
Learned how to handle complex Android SDK components (e.g., Google Maps API, location updates, file handling, camera) and abstract them for cross-platform use.
Improved debugging skills for resolving tricky integration bugs post-migration.
Enhanced my collaboration and review skills by actively contributing feedback and architecture discussions with teammates.
What were your main achievements?
Successfully migrated multiple feature modules in
android-clientto Compose Multiplatform:checker-inbox-taskpath-trackingclient(including 12+ sub-features)
Fixed and tested sub-features (
client-identifiers,client-identifiers-dialog,client-charges) to ensure stable functionality after migration.Raised and reviewed significant PRs across

What blockers did you face, and how did you resolve them?
Encountered tight Android-only dependencies (
Context,File,Uri) while refactoring — tackled by exploring expect/actual abstractions and interface-based separation.Faced integration bugs (e.g., improper screen states, navigation issues, silent failures) — resolved through detailed testing, iterative PRs, and quick bug fixes.
No major unresolved blockers — I stayed in sync with mentors and teammates via daily standups and Slack channels to get quick feedback whenever needed.
