How to install BIRT?

The MIFOS versions prior to 2.0 had reports developed BIRT. So, customers may report issues/errors in these reports as well. To fix these issues, we need BIRT designer. The BIRT server is already integrated in MIFOS.

To install the designer, you need to download it from BIRT site.  Just click the executable file and the designer will open.

How to edit files in BIRT?

  • Open any of the MIFOS BIRT report in designer.

  • Change the connection settings, queries, parameters by right clicking the respective icon and clicking the edit option.


The MIFOS datasource section is usually non-editable. The settings are as per database name as MIFOS.
Once done with editing, you can upload the updated file on MIFOS application by selecting the upload reports template option in ADMIN section.
