2020 Google Summer of Code
The Mifos Initiative is conducting the final evaluations for its seventeen Google Summer of Code interns through Mifos and three through Apache Software Foundation.
2020 Summer of Code Timeline

20 February: 1800 UTC | List of accepted mentoring organizations published on the Google Summer of Code site. | |
Interim Period: February 20- March 16 | Would-be students discuss project ideas with potential mentoring organizations. | |
16 March - 31 Mar 1800 UTC | Student application period | |
Interim Period: | Mentoring organizations review and rank student proposals; where necessary, mentoring organizations may request further proposal detail from the student applicant. Slot allocations published to mentoring organizations | |
May 4: 1800 UTC | Accepted student proposals announced on the Google Summer of Code site. | |
May 4 - June 1 | Students get to know mentors, read documentation, get up to speed to begin working on their projects. | |
June 1: | Students begin coding for their Google Summer of Code projects | |
29 June - 03 July: 1800 UTC | Phase 1 Evaluation deadline | |
27 July - 31 July: 1800 UTC | Phase 2 Evaluation deadline | |
24 August - 31 August: 1800 UTC | Final week: Students submit their final work product and their final mentor evaluation | |
31 August - 7 Sept: 1800 UTC | Mentors submit final student evaluations. | |
