The Mifos Initiative has been accepted as a mentoring for the 2025 Google Summer of Code and accepted 13 interns from a record 209 applicants through Google Summer of Code. In addition, we have 6 Code for GovTech interns and 4 Mifos Summer of Code interns.

2025 Summer of Code Timeline

8 May: 1800 UTC	Accepted proposals announced on the Google Summer of Code site.	13 interns accepted
Community Bonding Period: 8 May - 1 Jun	Community Bonding Period \| GSoC contributors get to know mentors, read documentation, get up to speed to begin working on their projects	CLOSED
2 June	Coding officially begins	ONgoing - Please follow weekly status.
18 July 1800 UTC	Midterm evaluation deadline (standard coding period)
Work Period: 14 July - 25 August	GSoC contributors work on their project with guidance from Mentors
25 Aug - 1 Sept: 1800 UTC	Final Week: GSoC contributors submit their final work product and their final mentor evaluation (standard coding period)
1 Sept - 08 Sept: 1800 UTC	Mentors submit final GSoC contributor evaluations (standard coding period)
1 Sept - 09 Nov:	GSoC contributors with extended timelines continue coding
10 Nov: 1800 UTC	Final date for all GSoC contributors to submit their final work product
17 Nov: 1800 UTC	Final date for mentors to submit evaluations for GSoC contributor projects with extended deadlines
