2026 Google Summer of Code
The Mifos Initiative will be applying to be a Mentoring Organisation in 2026 and will also participate in Code for GovTech and Mifos Summer of Code.
2026 Summer of Code Timeline

Application Review Period: 1 Apr - 21 Apr | Mentoring organizations review and rank proposals; GSoC contributor proposal rankings due from Org Admins |

30th April: 1800 UTC | Accepted proposals announced on the Google Summer of Code site. | 13 interns accepted |
Community Bonding Period: 1 May - 24th May | Community Bonding Period | GSoC contributors get to know mentors, read documentation, get up to speed to begin working on their projects |

25 May | Coding officially begins | ONgoing - Please follow weekly status. |
Work Period: 25 May - 16 August | GSoC contributors work on their project with guidance from Mentors |
