How to Close a Term Deposit Account

A term deposit account may be closed once the lock-in period has past. If the term deposit is closed prior to the length of time agreed by the client, a penalty may be applied to the interest paid to the term deposit. If the term deposit has reached maturity, the full interest amount will be paid upon closing.
