Weekly Developer Meeting - 01.18.2012

Action Items:

  • Propose new developer meeting time to accommodate schedule changes
  • Choose technical tutorial topic so presentation can be prepared for next week. 

Release H Planning

  • Milestone releases will come out weekliy
    • will have main stable release
    • milestone releases will be available for download to provide feedback, make more stable, and make features requests
  • First milestone release end of this week.
  • Will be uploaded to sf.net - minor announcements on mailing list. 
  • On mifos.org
    • Mifos 2.3 release candidate or Mifos 2.3 m1
    • Not everything will be finished - some stuff is WIP. 
  • Release H
    • End of February/Beginning of March
    • Should not be a problem with stable milestone releases coming out weekly.
    • Final 2.3 will be released after all Release H fixes have been completed.

Features Going into Release H

  • Kakha: Make sure issues that have been assigned higest priority and to Release H - have the name of the person assigned to that.
  • Multilingual Support
    • Found some minor bugs with multilingual support (user-based locale)
  • Automatic penalties
    • To review spec and make sure it can still fit in the release. 
  • GLIM
    • On target for Release H - will be finished tomorrow - http://mifosforge.jira.com/browse/MIFOS-4509
    • Making payments visible in UI is pretty simple
    • Issue 3847 is the issue - adding payments for individuals - difference with group schedules.
    • Always will be some differences - make sure differences are small and individual payments schedules are ready only 
    • Should hopefully be included in first milestone release.
    • Will notify Karthik to get feedback -
  • Thousands Separator
    • Nearing completion.

Accounting

  • Waiting on replies from Krishnan
  • Will get Krishnan to provide more of an update and break stuff down into smaller issues.

Translations on Test Server

  • Still need to address issues from TWN side of things
  • Georgian - 
  • Need instructions on how to deploy language to local server - so users can see the Georgian translation.

Pawn shop requirements

  • Major requirement in Georgia.
  • Required in Russia as well.
  • Gela could also publish a link to open source softwars pawn shops use.
  • Just need a more detailed description of the materials being pledged.

Issues posting to mailing lists for Gela

Permissions on JIRA

  • Have been updated so users can edit issues. 

Technical Tutorial

  • Need a topic and what people would like to hear about prepared in advance.
  • Action: ed to ask krishnan to provide details on what topic he would like covered.
