What is the top improvement you would like to see in the Mifos product or community and why?

Arun and GK:

  • GK would be interested in seeing integration of updated PPI scorecards in Mifos
  • Accounting package integration with Mifos application

Lassaad

  • Approval by loan value
  • Configurable workflow is other top priority:
  • Keith W (in Mifos X)
  • Need more statuses for client workflow - need additional statuses so can go in parallel with their processes.
  • Currently discussing to understand what's required from GK, enda, Al Majmoua
  • Will probably come in Mifos X but in current Mifos codebase it's touches so much of the core it would be difficult. 
  • Jakub: can create a JIRA ticket and investigate how much effort it would be implementing in Mifos.

Questions:

  • Arun: Are there other main roles supported? Built from a loan officer perspective
    • Approval of loans would be useful
    • Lukasz: currently online only 
    • Jakub: Offline mode was in roadmap from very beginning - if enough requests we would like to add this.
    •  
  • Keith:
    • Desktop: can build lots of generalizing functionality - more screenspace can work with.
    • Figure that over time will be building mobile apps that will be very specific (could be job functions, regions, etc.)
      • Enable them out in the field with their mobile.
  • Other Use Cases: 
  • Divided at center level - from branch manager perspective might be better to view data from that level - which loans are pending disbursal/approval. 
  • Does this work on GPRS or does it require internet? Can it happen offline and then sync it at a later date.
  • Vision for Mifos X approach with platform approach - would expect lots of different applications to be developed against API
